Siegel Chiropractic Center serves the people of Washington, Greenville, and the surrounding Eastern North Carolina counties. We also have practice hours in Greenville at Eastern Neurology & Neuromuscular Center (www.easternneurology.com) with Cynthia Lopez, MD to better serve our patients in collaborative manner.
Dr. Siegel is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Public Health. His time at IU included an internship at the National Institutes of Health in Washington, DC. Following college graduation and after seeing decades of his Mother's lower back pain and disability eliminated by chiropractic care; he knew he wanted to devote his life to providing the same service for others.
He then went on to earn his Doctor Of Chiropractic degree at New York Chiropractic College. Here, he was inducted into the Phi Chi Omega national, scholastic honor society. Since then he has held and active Chiropractic Physician license in North Carolina for over 18 years, and has been Nationally Board Certified since then.
Additionally, since being in practice, he has completed a post doctorate Acupuncture fellowship with the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
Other certifications include becoming a Nationally Registered Medical Examiner for the U.S. Department of Transportation, and a Federal Urine Drug Screening Collector. He is the designated examiner for Beaufort County School bus drivers, and many local business' commercial fleet drivers such as PCS/Nutrien Phosphate.
He is also a Certified Orthotic Fitter with the Board of Certification, and holds a DMEPOS accreditation from the Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation.
In the past he has has also performed peer review services of Chiropractic insurance claims.
FAA BasicMed pilot flight physicals can also be performed by Dr. Siegel for local private pilots as an alternative to the Class III medical certification.
A research paper for which he was selected as a delphi panelist on Chiropractic guidelines for neck pain treatment has been published in the profession's leading Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics (https://www.jmptonline.org/article/S0161-4754(19)30008-9/fulltext#secsectitle0325) and (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31870638). He is also a panelist for two other studies on chiropractic pregnancy care, and chronic pain guidelines that are expected to published soon.
Technology is another passion of his, and he recently became a certified computer technician by earning the CompTIA A+, and IT for Health Care Professionals certifications. His CompTIA Network+ certification is currently in progress.
Dr. Siegel and his wife have two children, and he enjoys reading, mountain biking, and other outdoor fitness activities in his spare time. He is a member of St. Peter's church, and an annual sponsor of Toys for Tots.
Patients of all ages from everyday people to professional athletes with diverse musculoskeletal health challenges have received positive outcomes under the care of Dr. Siegel.
Treatments are gentle, effective, and based on the most recent scientific and evidenced based information. Dr. Siegel properly diagnoses and treats difficult conditions that have not responded to other forms of health care. His focus is on spinal rehabilitative restoration for renewed health, and relief from discomfort.
